On 6 August 2019 the act limiting regulatory burden on citizens and entrepreneurs, which amended the act of 28 December 2018 on the amendment to the Excise Tax Act, entered into force. The legislator decided that the deadline for submitting to energy companies statements on the status of an end user (including micro- and small enterprises) will be extended until 13 August 2019. The change of the deadline is due to the fact that approximately 50 percent of those entitled to take advantage of the right to have a lower electricity fee charged did not submit appropriate statements to energy companies.
